With over 17 years experience, owner and head auctioneer Chris Colson is well known and trusted in the area for his professionalism and expertise. Chris Colson Auction & Realty Co. is a full service auction firm and auctions are all we do. We conduct real estate, commercial property, farm, and land auctions, as well as personal property and estate sales, and surplus equipment auctions for local and state government.
Our multi-pronged approach to auction marketing combines television, newspaper, targeted direct mail, internet and social media advertising to attract solid, qualified bidders on auction day. As one of Western Kentucky’s fastest-growing auction companies, we provide complete service for your auction from the initial consultation through the last rap of the gavel to closing the sale. OUR STAFF
CHRIS COLSON – President/CEO/Auctioneer/Broker
Chris has been in the auction business for 17 years. He is a licensed auctioneer in both Kentucky and Indiana, and specializes in real estate sales such as farms, lakefront homes, trophy properties, estates, etc. He is well known in Western Kentucky as an honest professional that puts his client’s needs and expectations to the forefront of every auction. Chris is a graduate of the prestigious Certified Auctioneer’s Institute (CAI) at Indiana University. CAI is the highest designation awarded in the Auction industry. He is a member of the National Auctioneers Association and the Kentucky Auctioneers Association.
Chris’ prior work related fields include being a third generation Kentucky licensed home builder, Kentucky licensed school board approved home inspector, and also holds a license with the Commonwealth of Kentucky Cabinet for Family Health and Services. (Environmental, radon, septic systems, lagoons, low pressure systems, etc.) This history of education and experience makes Chris a leader when consulting with potential clients on the sale of their properties.
When not selling real estate, Chris plays golf, conducts numerous charity and benefit auctions, and enjoys spending time with his wife Ginger.
